My official `hello world` to my web journal. Yes, I have started a proper blog. No longer will my website be a flat page hiding my projects and pushing my email. I have (finally) created my blogging site that is wordpress’d and ready to go. It certainly beats the flat-filed site I was using to desimantate information to some people on occasion. Well, we’ll see how it goes.
And it is a Happy New Year to you too. January first, 2010. I hope this will be a good and rewarding year for me. I have a lot of hopes and expectations for myself this year and I think things will go well for me.
For me this year, I will start my investing future in the Forex Market. This will be a financial investment for me and I hope as I grow in education and expreience that good things will come with my patience and understanding of the live financial markets. It is my plan to publish my trades and evaluate my success on this site as I grow and learn.
I am continuing as a Crew Chief for Maltais Geomatics, working in the field and taking on the construction-survey responsibilities for some specific projects and clients. All is going well with my career. I still need to complete my correspondence studies for them, but with my winter layoff I am looking forward to the time available to grow and improve myself for the work I do with them.
I am still fully involved (on a smaller time schedule) with assisting in the admin for the Serenity-IRC network. They are a great group of people and good friends. I think I will stay there as my online home for some time to come.
My new involvement with the Friendship Force in Calgary has been ag reat experience and while I will not be travelling to Ukraine and Russia this year, I look forward to meeting new inbound friends who will come to Calgary to experience our lives and culture.
My activity and particiaption with my community church in Langdon (currently services are held at the odfellows hall on main street every Sunday morning at 10:30am) continues. Our new pastor and family are a wonderful addition to our communirty and I am glad they are with us. I am gald I can offer my support and be involved with this wonderful group of people.
Of course, there are other personal side projects not mentioned in this hello, but as time comes we shall see how this next year opens up to new opportunities and adventures.
Take care, and and God Bless.
